Avenida Islas Canarias, Costa Teguise
Buzz Trips Opinion
Hugging the eastern edge of the family resort of Costa Teguise and nestling on its own lagoon complete with golden beach, Sands Beach Resort is the perfect getaway destination.
At Sands Beach Resort you can have whatever type of holiday you crave. Choose to enjoy the privacy of your villa and personal space in the extensive grounds and you can forget the rest of the world exists – it’s just you, your partner, the Lanzarote sun and relaxation. But if you like your holiday to be crammed full of fun, the amazing animation team, friendly staff and endless activities will fill every waking hour.
Rooms:
Private villas face onto swimming pool plazas or onto the lagoon where you step from living room to sand without the aid of shoes.
Bright, modern and airy villas have fully equipped kitchens, good-sized bathrooms and either one or two bedrooms with oodles of floor and storage space and more than their fair share of comfort. Villas are located around six plazas each with their own swimming pool and distinct design. Enclosed porch areas offer secluded outside dining while artificial grass areas provide lovely sun bathing spots right outside your own villa.
Opt for a beachside villa and you’ll get extra floor space and the thrill of stepping straight from your front door onto the small beach – something I never tired of when I was there.
Facilities:
The Mai Tai bar and restaurant sits in the centre of the large natural lagoon and offers a great place to sip afternoon cocktails, indulge in a tasty pizza or join in with the antics of the tireless animation team. The hacienda on site restaurant provides a tasty breakfast and buffet style dinner and special diets for athletes for whom the resort is a stylish winter training base. The lively bar area has nightly entertainment geared towards families and there’s a packed agenda of kiddie-friendly activities courtesy of the Buddy Club.
A small but well equipped gym and the services of the Lanzarote football team’s physiotherapist allow for fitness regimes ranging from gentle exercise to competitive event preparation.
Prices at Sands Beach Resort begin at around €50 per night for a studio apartment and €60 per night for a one bedroom villa.
