When you’re staying in a city like Barcelona all you really want from your hotel is that it’s a comfortable base for being able to access the best of the city without having to resort to trains, planes and auto-mobiles. The Hotel Eurostars Laietana Palace ticks all the right boxes for both.

Situated right on the edge of the Barri Gòtic quarter you can pretty much fall out the Hotel Eurostars Laietana Palace and into a cool bar, stylish restaurant or stunning landmark. It’s perfectly located for accessing the best of Barcelona

The façade of the hotel is attractively neoclassical whilst the décor in the public areas and rooms is of the typically inoffensive city hotel variety. A big bonus is that all rooms have free Wi-Fi access plus it’s quite close to one of our favourite Barcelona bars, Vascelum on Plaça Santa Maria.

Rooms
62 exterior facing rooms that are sound-proofed and have plasma screen TV sets, free Wi-Fi , mini-bar and air conditioning. Baths are fitted with a hydro-massage. A few rooms feature a slanting, glass roof which is a rather nice feature. The bedrooms that don’t face out onto the main look out over a Roman wall. Some rooms also have a rather nice wrought iron balcony; not big enough to sit on but quite handy for chilling a bottle of cava on a winter evening.

The Hotel Eurostars Laietana Palace also has rooms adapted for disabled clients are also available and the Junior Suite with its rooftop terrace has wonderful views across Barcelona’s unique skyline.

Facilities
The hotel has a breakfast buffet that serves breakfast until 11am (much appreciated in a city with seductive nightlife). This is Barcelona; apart from breakfast what else do you need? All the rest of the time you’ll be out and about exploring and sampling culinary delights at the most incredible looking restaurants.

Prices for rooms start from around €75.
