Hotel Port Mahón, Avenida port de Maó s/n; Mahón, Menorca
Buzz Trips opinion
Hotel Port Mahón isn’t going to raise the buzz adrenalin but it has professional, friendly staff; clean rooms, good views and very good breakfasts. The reason I’ve included it is because Hotel Port Mahón is an ideal base for exploring the city and for trying some of the port restaurants and bars which lie at the foot of the headland, a 10 to 15 minute stroll away.
Hotel Port Mahón is a quiet, friendly hotel set on a headland with grandstand views over the port. The walk to the marina is via a headland path with great views or down the endless steps to the promenade.
Rooms:
Rooms are fairly compact, bright, airy and immaculately clean but lacking any kind of wow factor. Views are over the residential housing neighbourhood or over the port. Upgrade for a balcony with sea view if you enjoy spending time with a glass of wine and a panoramic view over the port activities.
Facilities:
The pretty pool area and sunbeds are set in lawned gardens with views over the port harbour. Breakfast is excellent with a good choice of fruits, cold meats and cheeses and a full cooked breakfast menu.
Prices from €88 per night for room and breakfast.
