Molyvos Port, Lesbos.
Buzztrips View
From its privileged position in Molyvos, the Seahorse Hotel is not just a place to stay, it’s an integral part of harbour life. Perfectly located, friendly, comfortable, economical and packed to its Greek rafters with character, this is one of Buzztrips all time favourite Greek hotels.
Occupying pole position on the quay right in the heart of Molyvos, this is a small, family run hotel where the service is informal and delightfully friendly. Every room has a balcony overlooking the harbour and what they may lack in modern facilities they more than make up for in views and character.
Rooms
All rooms are harbour facing with doors to the balcony where a table and two chairs are all the furnishings you need to pass countless hours watching harbour life accompanied by a coffee, an ouzo or a wine. Inside, the traditional Greek blue and white colour schemes predominate and there’s plenty of floor space, comfortable double or twin beds and en suite bathroom. Facilities run to air conditioning, satellite TV, phone, safe and refrigerator.
Facilities
From the moment the first aromas of coffee drift over the hotel’s waterside terrace at 8am until the moon shines on the water and the last of the ouzo drinkers drift home, the Seahorse Hotel is one of the busiest cafes in town and an idyllic spot for people watching.
Serving continental breakfast and typical Greek cuisine, pastries and ices all day, the room-only booking leaves you free to breakfast here and then spread the visitor-income-love at the wide choice of excellent restaurants on your doorstep.
